Two men in a wheat field

What Do You Want

Whatever a man plants as a seed in his life that’s the kind of harvest he will reap as a reward [Gal. 6:7-9].

Central truth: Your life right now is the sum of the seeds you have sown.

The seeds you plant in your life manifest as thoughts, words, and actions, and if you do not like your harvest, change the seeds you plant. Now, when we come to a prayer life, how much more productive we must be in building the Kingdom. If we do not understand the law that encompasses the principle of prayer, we will sow wrong seeds, and it might take years to reestablish the ground that was lost due to sowing corrupt seeds of flesh, selfishness, loveless attitudes, being out of the will of God.

The earth has a law working called seedtime and harvest [Gen. 8:22]. With the same measure that we meet, it will be measured back to you. When I minister, I always ask, “What do you want from the Lord?” Your words are the seeds of your miracle that creates an atmosphere of faith to receive and release the anointing.

What is your expectation? Because your thoughts are seeds of a lifestyle of spiritual conception of answered prayer. If you sow anointed prayers, you will reap breakthrough answers. He that sows to the spirit, shall reap of the spirit, and reap eternal rich benefits! When I sow in praise, I reap breakthrough. When I sow in prayer, I seek His face and reap the extension of His hand!

Your thinking produces thoughts that become seeds. Thoughts not acted upon will die unborn. Right thoughts produce good seeds! You are the sum total of every word you have ever spoken. If you are not happy with your life, change your words and expectations. Are you receiving answers to your prayers? If your answer is yes, it means you have created the right condition for your harvest!

In Abraham’s obedience of faith, he sowed in Isaac, and we became heirs of the promise because of Christ [Gal. 3:29]. That is why your seed has a voice, and when you pray/read the Word, the DNA in the seed is released just like Mary, who said, “Let it be according to Your Word”. She sowed her faith and received Jesus as the harvest!

  1. Paul and Silas sowed prayer and sang praises [Ps. 113-118,136], and reaped an earthquake of breakthrough – Acts 16:25, 26.
  2. Job sowed to the wind and reaped a whirlwind.
  3. David sowed in tears but reaped in joy – Ps.126:5.
  4. Hannah poured her soul before the Lord as she was barren but reaped Samuel the Prophet – 1 Sam. 1:15.
  5. Jesus sowed His will so that we can do His will in obedience.

When you delight yourself in the meditation of His word [seed], you will be planted by the rivers of living water, bringing forth a continual harvest of fruit, and whatever you think, say, and do shall prosper. The seed always carries the law of multiplication. If you plant a corn seed, it will produce 800 kernels per cob, and corn stalks produce between 2 and 4 maize cobs. It means that one seed produces 1600 kernels – that is a mega whopper of a seed harvest!

Isaac sowed seeds for his crops in famine [Gen. 26:12], and in the same year, he received 100 times more in his harvest because the blessing was upon him. He sowed to bring the blessing into the land to break the famine because of the covenant blessing he carried from Abraham, and in Christ all was fulfilled!

What do you want in prayer? What do want in your walk with Him – more revelation, blessings, boldness to witness, family restored? Your level of desperation determines the level of expectation to sow a seed of answers. The situation that demands more from you, meaning that you must step up your seed sowing level.

I would go to the Word to get scriptures with regards to my situation. Take finance, for instance. I will find scriptures regarding finances and will study those scriptures, fellowship with those scriptures, and meditate on those scriptures. What am I doing? I am preparing and tiling the ground.

Then, I begin to confess those scriptures over my life until it becomes reality to my inner conscience and my mind, and my heart is fixed on them. My life then becomes the abundance of what I speak. I live out and become what I think, what I speak, and what I do – I become a living epistle [ 2 Cor. 3], a life-speaking prayer warrior walking in my authority and doing the will of the Father, being a blessing to humanity by sowing seeds to bring life.

Do not grow weary and lose your spiritual strength in doing good. For in your appointed season is your reward. God sees the end from the beginning, but you go through different phases [seasons] to get to your destiny. The water of the Word keeps on watering the Word to germinate the seed. Abiding in the Word produces the fruit of the Word. Praising is harvesting the Word!

Mark chapter 4 verse 16-29 explains the different grounds on which your prayer seeds fall and the result of good ground producing 100 times more harvest! What do you want? What kind of harvest do you want?
