The Revelation of That Name!
Central Truth: “In that day you will not [need to] ask Me about anything. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name [as My representative], He will give to you.” – John 16:23
A True Thought: The revelation of that Name carries all true authority and dominion that all of Heaven represents.
I have studied the Name of Jesus for more than 40 years and let me tell you I know nothing as I ought. Every time I receive fresh revelation of the preciousness of Him who is called the Beloved, I realize I need eternity to help me explain the Name and who He is! The new covenant gives us the authority to ask in the Name of Jesus, as His name now represents all the finished work that He accomplished through the Blood in His obedience. And that all He did in His death, resurrection, and now seated at the right Hand of the Father exalted as King of all Kings and Lord of all Lords.
The NAME OF JESUS is now our guarantee of all the counsel before time existed of all the finished work on earth, and all eternity to come. His Name now carries all that heaven represents in complete victory as the master over death, hell, the grave, and eternal judgement! At the sound of that Name, everyone shall bow their knee in heaven, in the earth, and every demonic being; satan will acknowledge the Lordship of Messiah.
We now carry the power of attorney in His Name and the authority of that Name because the Father connects Himself in Glory, in and through the Name of His Son, in the presence of Heaven itself! Whatever you ASK IN HIS NAME that agrees with His Word on earth. The whole of Heaven stands at attention and has the whole backing of all the heavenly hosts IN ALL AUTHORITY AND DOMINION. The Father Himself and every promise ever made is behind and in that Name! The captain of our salvation, the commander in chief, who has been exalted – Jesus himself, through His Blood, is the guarantee that HE WILL DO IT! Just ask the Father in His Name, and whatever you need or desire is in His Name! Hallelujah! We Praise you, Lord!
“But now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy (gladness, delight) may be full and complete.” – John 16:24 [AMPC]
Now, just not ask but also receive that your joy will be like a river overflowing with Thanksgiving and filled to the brim. Meaning every promise, prophecy, and saying is ratified and sealed in His Name. The fulfilment of God’s promises given through the prophets to receive as complete. So, release His Name, that the Father can honour that Name, and receive GLORY and fulfil every prayer prayed and every word spoken to release the joy of the victory that His Name represents!
One day I asked the Lord why I use His Name so many times during the day. He said, “Son, the more you use my Name the MORE REVELATION YOU WILL HAVE OF THAT NAME. And the more revelation you have, the more authority and glory you will walk in!” Somebody shout GLORY!
If you make your home in My Word, and My Word remains in your house, you shall ask whatever you will and it is yours – John 15:7
“And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ASK ANYTHING (make any request) ACCORDING TO HIS WILL (IN AGREEMENT WITH HIS OWN PLAN), He listens to and hears us. And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us IN WHATEVER WE ASK, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him.” – 1 John 5: 14, 15 [AMPC]
The Name of Jesus carries the same judgement of satan and the victory over sin. The name of Jesus carries the same Glory of resurrection in complete victory for every believer! Every time that Name is used in faith, satan must acknowledge his defeat [2 Cor. 2:14; Col. 2:15; Luke 10:19; Phil. 2:9-11]. The Name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run in and are safe. When the Lord said to Moses go into the cleft of the rock, He said go into my Name because in My Name you will see the Glory. Paul prays and asks that your spiritual eyes may be flooded with the Glory of the revelation of that NAME, then you will see the hope of your calling! Paul on the road to Damascus is blinded by the light because of the NAME, and comes to salvation. Silver and gold we do not have but WE HAVE THE NAME OF JESUS!
I pray now for you in JESUS’ NAME that whatever you ask according to His will and possession, I ask now by the revelation of the Father in JESUS’ name that IT IS YOURS!
Now say healing is mine, restoration is mine, blessing and goodness are mine – whatever you ask. Now rejoice and praise God, saying, “Father, I receive now that my joy is running over!” With hands lifted declare your victory and inheritance! SHOUT OUT THE NAME OF JESUS IN BOLDNESS AND CONFIDENCE (Ps. 29). Amen and amen!
