Before every Monday Night Global Prayer meeting, I will spend time studying the Word of God. Last week as I was preparing for the prayer meeting, I spent time in the book of Ezekiel. As I began to study, I saw the place where God, in His Throne, manifested Himself to the prophet Ezekiel. And it is all in the Glory.
One night, while praying, these words came out of my mouth: “Answered prayer is in the Glory!” So that means I must understand the Glory; where it is, what does it look like, and how it all connects to prayer!
We need the Holy Spirit to help us understand and to discern spiritual things so that we can comprehend and, at the very least, have some knowledge of what His Kingdom and what the heavenly realm looks like and functions!
Ezekiel begins with “…that the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.” [Ezekiel 1:1]
He needed spiritual discernment, meaning he had to recognize and perceive and have knowledge, as he came out of the priestly tribe of Buzi as a prophet.
Ezekiel chapter 1 continues: “1:3 The Word of the Lord came expressly… and the hand of the Lord was upon him there.”
The word came by prayer, and the Spirit came by expression! In verse 4, he starts by seeing a stormy wind, and a great cloud with a fire enveloped in it. There were flashes of lightning, and the glow of the fire was like a piece of iron placed inside a furnace.
[1:13] Then the creatures that came from within had the appearance of coals of fire and a burning lamp. And out of the fire came flashes of lightning!
[1:24] The wings of these creatures made a noise like the loud sound of thunder and like that of many rushing waters as the voice of the Almighty.
[1:26-28] We see the likeness of this Throne had the appearance of a sapphire stone. On the likeness of the throne was the likeness of a man. From His loins downward was the appearance of fire, glowing like metal with a brightness all around it. The halo around Him was like a cloud in the day of rain. This was the appearance of the likeness of the Glory of God. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of the one that spoke!
Let us therefore come with boldness and surety of faith, with confidence, to the Throne of Grace.
This is the Throne of Jesus as depicted in Hebrews 1:8. Then, in John 16:23, Jesus says that whatever you shall ask the Father in His [Jesus’] Name He [the Father] will give it to you. So, the Name of Jesus represents all of Jesus before the Throne of the Father.
That authority answers your prayer from the THRONE ROOM of Isaiah chapter 6 – the whole earth is full of His Glory.
Prophet And Priest of Jesus Christ, Robin D Bullock experienced the Glory in his church. It was a cloud. I believe the Glory is when God’s Presense along with His infinite dimension manifests in this finite world we live in. We see and experience His perfect infinite touch in this imperfect world which we can see and feel changing this world. The wind is not visible to our eyesight, but we experience it’s force and effect on the things around us and on our bodies. His fire drives out evil. It purifies and perfects things of this world. When GOD in His Glory touches this world things conform to His perfection.
