THE NEW THING BECOMES THE UNPRECEDENTED
IT IS TIME! IT IS A NOW WORD, A RHEMA WORD FROM HEAVEN!
Some time ago, I saw this Scripture in ALL CAPITALS, and the Lord said, “This Scripture IS the NOW WORD from Heaven!” This is your devotional. I want My people to rise and understand My timing and My season. Many are missing a timeline in the Spirit because they are hearing the wrong word, which confuses them, as they are not established in My Word. You can only move forward when faith, like Abraham’s, becomes fully persuaded in your heart and mind, enabling you to make the right choices and walk boldly in those steps.
“BEHOLD, I WILL DO A NEW THING; NOW IT SHALL SPRING FORTH; SHALL YOU NOT KNOW IT? I WILL EVEN MAKE A WAY IN THE WILDERNESS, AND RIVERS IN THE DESERT.” – Isaiah 43:19
To behold means to see with purpose. What Isaiah sees, he reveals: “I WILL DO A NEW THING.” What is the new thing? We must look at the Hebrew to understand what God is expressing here.
The word UNPRECEDENTED comes into the manifestation of creation, meaning something that has not been seen before, experienced before, or brought into manifestation before. I like what Isaiah says: “Shall you not know it?”—meaning, shall you not experience it?
What He has done before, He is about to do on a completely new level—never seen before! It shall spring forth like a seed that has sprouted and will grow into a tree or plant as a remembrance of deliverance. What He has started, He will finish—grandly and with an expression of exuberance! GOD WILL SHOW UP AND SHOW OFF!
He is making a way that has been ordained, pre-planned, and established as destiny. He will make a way in the wilderness, driving His people forward like cattle to a place of prosperity. Rivers that flow bring an abundance so powerful that they transform a desert into a place blooming with joy and victory.
Wherever change is needed, or wherever we must excel into the new, we must pray differently and think differently. The way we serve Him must move into a higher dimension. A greater desire and deeper hunger must become the cry of our hearts.
Jesus said that to follow Him, we must deny ourselves and lay down our lives in order to move into the fullness of His plan. Paul said it this way: Christ lives in me by GRACE. The open doors of favour, combined with divine purpose, bring THE NEW into our lives.
What did not exist before will NOW EXIST. What has not COME TO PASS WILL NOW COME TO PASS!
Meaning of the Hebrew words
- חֲדָשָׁה (chadashah) — something new, fresh, renewed; by application, unprecedented.
- תִצְמָח (titzmach) — literally “will sprout” or “will grow,” like a plant breaking through the ground, conveying the idea of something emerging visibly and powerfully.
- דֶּרֶךְ (derekh) — not merely a road, but often a path, course, or way prepared by God.
- נְהָרוֹת (neharot) — rivers or flowing streams, symbolising abundant provision in an otherwise barren place.
The imagery is striking. God is not merely promising change but describing a divinely initiated work that suddenly becomes visible—like new life springing from the earth—and providing a path and life-giving water where none naturally exist.
UNPRECEDENTED means something that has never happened before or has no previous example in history or experience.
Synonyms include:
- Unmatched
- Unparalleled
- Extraordinary
- Unheard of
- Unseen
The word comes from precedent, which means an earlier event or example that can be used as a guide. Therefore, unprecedented literally means “without a previous example.”
Our level of desperation, hunger, and desire for THE NEW positions us to hear the cry of God’s heart and manifest His glory (John 17). The desire of the righteous shall be granted!
