Put Me In Remembrance – Plead your case!
Is. 43:26
Remind me of what happened! Let us argue our case together. State your case so that you can prove you are correct.
Meet me in court! Present your evidence!
Recount the brief! Let’s argue the matter together; Present your case, so that you may be proved right!
When Abraham began to stand in the gap for Sodom, he asked the Lord if there were 10 righteous, would you not spare the city? He puts God in REMEMBRANCE and ASKS FOR THEIR LIVES, as Sodom and Gomorrah were an evil city of homosexuality, cindering God’s judgement on unrighteousness. Lot, his wife, and two daughters came out of the city and were spared. We see Abraham, a friend of God, pleading in righteousness. If Abraham had asked, ‘ Spare the city, for I am a righteous man,’ God would have! The phrase’ plead your case’ describes an attorney or advocate standing in a court of law with testimony and the law on their side to declare their client innocent. When we pray, we stand on the same ground to ask for the life of another! When we put God in remembrance, we stand on His covenant promises, declaring what God says, which are His commandments and justice.
1 John 2:1 We have an ADOCATE with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous. One who is called to another’s side to aid him, one who offers legal aid, or one who intercedes. Jesus, our Advocate who cares for our case, interceeds and restores our fellowship that has been interrupted.
Romans 8:34 Who is at the right hand of God, who also maketh INTERCESSION for us.
Hebrews 7:25 Therefore, He can save forever completely, perfectly, for eternity those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to INTERCEDE and INTERVENE on their behalf with God. Jesus is responsible for us as our Redeemer – He paid the PRICE – Not just saved us but also keeps us even after salvation concerning our lives – He intercedes for us to see that the PRICE HE PAID IS FULFILLED.
Intervene – to deal in favour with to change a situation to benefit those who cannot change their circumstance
My wife received a call saying that her father had a major stroke and bleeding on the brain and was in a coma and could not speak or respond. His situation was not good; there was no response, and he was moved to a special room preparing for his passing. On Monday night at our prayer meeting, the Lord began to deal with me regarding his life and confession of sin that he could not confess, which opened a door for his condition. He was born again but certain things happened that caused him to backslide. Spiritually, he was not in a good place. I said Lord, how can I pray for him? He is my wife’s Father, and you desire that not any should perish, how can we stand in the gap and plead his case before the throne! I know I can pray in the Spirit, for I do not know how to pray accurately. But this situation was different. How do I intervene? The Lord led me to 1 John 5:16. If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not unto death, he shall ASK, and HE WILL GIVE LIFE TO HIM. He can’t confess his sin, but you can stand in the gap and ask for forgiveness and the Blood to wash and cleanse him from all unrighteousness. The Lord said ASK ME FOR HIS LIFE! Then, the Lord gave me a vision of seeing his father and mother in heaven; they were old-time Pentecostals. His mother looked as if; she was looking down a mountain, his father looked to the side. Then I knew they were preparing for his coming! In that week, he passed away! Remind me; plead your case. Many times, when I have prayed for situations that looked impossible, the Lord would say, “JUST BECAUSE YOU ASKED ME, I WILL ANSWER”! You must be a friend of God in true holy fellowship where He can trust you, walking in realms and dimensions of the Spirit that open doors. Once, the Lord asked me to pray that He would appear even in a greater way to Muslims in dreams and visions for their salvation! Our authority is in words, and we release the power through those words. What an honour, and today, we see greater manifestations of dreams and visions all over the world. If someone would stand in the gap and ask! Today, my father-in-law is in heaven rejoicing and singing the Praise of God!
When we ask for God’s justice to prevail, we put Him in remembrance and ask for their life. I have seen it, praying in the ICU unit when people are in a coma, how they hear and respond with their faith, and they begin to speak to themselves about their healing in their mind. The next day, they are transferred to a regular ward and healed. When I plead my cause, I am standing on my covenant right. I am stirring up the thoughts of God through remembrance to establish the present truth or the rhema word.
1 Sam. 25:24 – The Lord therefore be judge and judge between me and thee, and see and plead my cause, and deliver me out of thine hand!
Ps. 35:1 – PLEAD my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.
Ps. 43:1 – The pronouncing of the sentence against me, O God, plead my cause against an unmerciful nation.
Ps. 119:154 – Plead my cause and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word!
Stir up yourself, and awake to my judgement, even unto my cause. Ps. 35:23
STIR UP – arise, wake up fully, raise, arouse your thoughts
Malachi 3:16 – And the book of remembrance [book of covenant] was written before him for those who feared the Lord and thought upon his name! The book of prophecies is a legal document, a written decree; the book of records was opened. It is a memorial, a reminder to plead your case as evidence of what was prophesied and spoken!
THE BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE WAS OPENED – THE BOOK OF COVENANT AS A REMINDER OF EVERY PROMISE EVER SPOKEN, AS GUARANTEED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT THROUGH THE BLOOD OF FULFILLMENT!
