Romans 8:6 – BUT THE MIND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IS LIFE AND SOUL PEACE…
LET THIS MIND BE IN YOU…Philippians 3:5
In prayer, the Lord began to speak about new thoughts and having a renewed mind if I want to walk in the new season and the next phase of my life. You can’t have old thoughts and think you’ll walk in the promises. Our thoughts on the old are a blockage and can’t take you into the fullness of His plan for you. Israel had to walk in the desert for 40 years to get rid of the bondage of slave mentality before they could walk into the promised land! That mentality of failure unbelief and grasshopper thinking! It limits us and pulls us back into old habits, and carnal thinking and becomes a pattern of failure and defeat and living in the CAN NOT mindset. Paul warns us with strong words and says a carnal mind is God’s enemy because it hinders the plan of God, and you draw back into a thought life that displeases God. It makes you a believer who cannot believe what the Word says but rather you go into a safety mode of comfort. You use that old thought to hide your inadequacy thinking of past mistakes and disappointment with your flesh and the devil will always accommodate thoughts that never challenge to change your thinking. When I think I am in a happy space where I tolerate wrong thinking and allow my mind to drift into various mindsets that never get challenged, and are they allowed to fester and become strongholds that rob you of God’s blessing, plan, and purpose? And you become failure-minded or law-minded and use it as an excuse not to progress but to look into the review mirror of depression and a mentality that produces no peace and no life! And you sit in a rut of maybe hope so one day! We are redeemed out of wrong thinking because of Adam and Eve, Jesus restored us to sound and whole minds, to think like Him, speak, and believe and do like Him! Too much of our thinking is infiltrated with ungodly thoughts mixed with worldly, carnal thoughts, but the Word is quick, living, and powerful to remove cut and divide carnal thoughts from the demonic realm. Mixed thoughts produce an unsure life of submission to whom do I yield and listen. You must be able to discern which thoughts come from God or the devil! That is why you need knowledge from the Word to help you separate right from wrong, and good sense from untrue and evil thoughts. We get good suggestions or thoughts that sound good from our surroundings, feelings, and what we read watch, and listen. Ask yourself where are these thoughts taking you, do they want me to become angry, hateful, revengeful or to change your personality and make my character turn against me? Your spirit-filled thoughts help you to resist and stand against those thoughts and you can say no I will not allow you to dominate me and cause me to step out of God’s will for me! I will not yield and surrender I pull in the reigns and do not allow those thoughts to control me! Whoever Jesus prayed for He first changed their thinking for them to receive what they needed from Him! Peter and John said LOOK US he had thoughts of silver and gold, and I have been like this from mother’s womb meaning I was born with these thoughts of lameness!
When we obey the Word, we purify and change our souls [mind, will and emotion]. How do we avenge disobedience when our obedience is fulfilled? The enemy wants us to be ignorant of his thoughts which is why he camouflages his thoughts so that you will not recognize his schemes and plans [comes as an angel of light]. Peter says to put on the loins of your mind so that you can be sober in your thinking, so we could be children of obedience and not be conformed to my former life! When Paul said do not be conformed or transformed to this worldly system, to demonic influence and fleshly desires but be transformed by the [Jos1:8; Ps. 1]! Changing your thoughts is conforming to His Will which is His Word. When Joshua and Caleb were challenged, giants were in the land, and we could not possess the land. They had a good report of faith which said NO we are the giants they are afraid of us let us possess our inheritance and take the land, they are but grasshoppers in our sight meaning they are under our feet; we possess our promise in His presence!
Whoever Jesus prayed for had to change their thinking to receive their healing. They were all challenged to step up to a place of NO RETURN. Once the decision was made to persist and persevere to release their faith, they became receivers of miracles and breakthroughs because of changed thinking!
We need a paradigm shift in our thinking is to step up to a new level of understanding. An important change that happens when the usual way of thinking about or doing something is replaced by a new and different way This discovery will bring about a paradigm shift in our understanding that changes completely. Unprecedented efficiency takes place! The man at the temple Peter and John said silver and gold we do not have but we have the Name of Jesus. His thinking was changed from thinking money to thinking the NAME OF JESUS and received his miracle! The man at the pool of Siloam that was cripple for 30 years said I have NO MAN TO PUT ME INTO THE POOL BUT JESUS SAID I AM THE MAN THAT HEALS YOU TAKE UP YOUR BED AND WALK! He had to take his eyes off himself and put His thoughts on THE HEALER! This woman who had a covenant was bound by satan for 18 years who thought infirmity and sickness. Jesus said to her you are supposed to be free why are you not free change your thinking – WOMAN YOU ARE LOOSED FROM YOUR THOUGHTS OF INFIRMITY AND IMMEDIATELY SHE WAS MADE STRAIGHT AND GLORIFIED GOD!
Jesus was on the road to Emmaus and as He spoke to them their hearts became hot with the Glory, influencing their thoughts and changing their thinking to understand the revelation of who Christ is! Ps 33:3 – As I meditated on the Word, the fire burnt in my belly, and my thoughts began to speak. When Jesus spoke to the fig tree He believed in His heart and spoke with His tongue the thoughts of the Spirit, and whatever He spoke came to pass. Jesus lived in transforming Glory that brought a transformed mind!
Rom. 12:2 Paul gave us a revelation of a transformed life by the RENEWING OF THE MIND CHANGING INTO A COMPLETELY NEW WAY OF THINKING! Passion translation says it more powerfully – transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total REFORMATION OF HOW YOU THINK!
RIGHT THINKING ALWAYS LEADS TO RIGHT BELIEVING AND RIGHT SPEAKING AND RIGHT PRAYING!
And was transfigured before them: and His face did shine as the sun, and His raiment was white as the light meaning HIS THOUGHTS BEGAN TO SHINE THAT CHANGED HIS WHOLE BEING INTO GLORY [Matt.17:2]! In whom the God of heaven has opened the mind of them that believe so that the light of the Glorious Gospel might shine through them [2 Cor. 4:4]!
Eph.4:23 Having a fresh mental spiritual attitude a renewed mind and opening new ways of doing the Will of God! Fresh ideas, plans, and purpose come out of a fresh mindset – a thought life filled with fresh oil of the anointing renewing the Soul into a perfect state of peace and victory discerning the will of God in all knowledge.
This is what I do I bind every thought, and imagination, and every stronghold, every unrighteous, unclean, ungodly thought that would hinder me from obeying the Word. I bind every thought, plan, and purpose that does not Glorify the Father and His thoughts, now I lose them and command them to leave and every influence from outside to desist that hinders and frustrates me in Jesus’ Name I am free from every carnal thought, any demonic and worldly influence. I NOW BIND MY SOUL [mind will emotions] TO THE MIND OF CHRIST! I HAVE A SPIRIT-FILLED MIND THINKING HEAVEN THOUGHTS!
The Peace of God that passes all understanding shall garrison like a fortress keep your MIND IN PERFECT PEACE THE ANCHOR OF YOUR SOUL!!
