2 Corinthians 2:11 – For we are not ignorant of satan’s schemes, designs, or devices.
The enemy works through thoughts and a thought process to break down your thinking and bring it to his level of reasoning. Eventually, if unchecked, you cannot discern which thoughts are your own, which belong to the enemy, or which come from God.
When you are carnally minded, it means wrong thoughts have contaminated your thought process. As a believer, this puts you in a dangerous place—you begin to assume every thought is from God. Even when Scripture comes to mind, it is often placed out of context. In such a state, every thought runs uncontrolled, with no resistance and no true understanding of spiritual things.
You become like a ship without a rudder, tossed by every wave, up and down, dictated by your five senses and driven by feelings, emotions, and wrong thinking. This always leads to a place of struggle, with no clear purpose or direction.
I have seen in the Spirit how wrong thoughts can enter a person, and how that person can become those thoughts—without even realizing they have lost the knowledge of right and wrong.
But revelation knowledge of the Scriptures and the renewing of the mind bring transformation. When Jesus asked, “Who do you say I am?” Peter declared, “You are the Christ!” He had revelation, but his mind was not yet renewed. Later, in the book of Acts, as his understanding of Jesus grew, he became the leader of the church until Paul was raised up. The infilling of the Spirit brought him into spiritual understanding, and revelation of Scripture began to reshape his thinking.
We now have the mind and thoughts of the Spirit instructing and teaching us!
The Wisdom Released
We have keys to walk in Bible wisdom, and the eyes of our understanding need to be enlightened as Paul prayed in Ephesians 1:16–23. Once our minds and thoughts are illuminated, it becomes easier to understand the spiritual realm and tap into effectiveness for the Kingdom.
To operate in spiritual things, our minds must be renewed to function there and to move in a higher dimension. When we pray in the Spirit, we enter the realm of God’s authority and power, released through us as if Jesus Himself were here.
1 Corinthians 2:5 – Our faith rests in the wisdom of God, for it is the power of God manifested to destroy the strategies of the enemy.
- Verse 6 – We speak of a higher spiritual wisdom, a wisdom that rulers of this age cannot understand. They have been stripped of authority, reduced to nothing, rendered useless, abolished, and made void.
- Verses 7–10 – God’s hidden wisdom was predestined for our glory. Every situation that needs an answer has already been addressed in God’s wisdom. We release it through words spoken in the Spirit in prayer. Only then does it manifest as glory and enforce our victory. If satan had known this wisdom, he would not have crucified the Lord of Glory. The cross sealed his defeat. In this wisdom, the hidden mystery reveals the plan of heaven through the Spirit, who searches our hearts and unveils what God has prepared for those who love Him. In Christ, all wisdom is hidden, yet also revealed, for He triumphed gloriously over every plan and purpose of the enemy.
The Spirit Teaches and Judges
The Spirit of God in us reveals what has been freely given. The words we speak are not taught by man but by the Spirit, and our spirit discerns them. Spiritual truths cannot be fully understood by the natural mind. This is why we need the mind of Christ—through renewal, meditation, and declaration of the Word.
Spiritual discernment examines, investigates, and scrutinizes every thought and word, aligning them with God’s truth. The one who is spiritual judges rightly because his spirit bears witness with the Word.
When we live and move in the Spirit, our mind becomes saturated by our spirit, making us one with Him. Spirit-taught words remove the soulish and the foolish, imparting the wisdom of Christ through the anointing within us. We become more conscious of the inner life of the Spirit than the outer life of the natural.
The Wisdom of God in Prayer
The wisdom of God is the mind of Christ, released by the Spirit in prayer through the words we speak. This wisdom destroys the enemy’s strategies and declares his defeat. The resurrection victory of Jesus positions every believer in overcoming faith to rule and reign in this life.
When we pray in the Spirit, we become dangerous agents of God. Yielding to Him releases mysteries the enemy cannot decode or counter. Our words pierce the spiritual realm, accomplishing God’s will on earth. The Kingdom advances with power and glory—and the enemy has no answer!
The Sword of the Spirit
Hebrews 4:12 (AMPC):
For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power—active, operative, energizing, and effective. It penetrates to the dividing line of soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and judges the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.
Ephesians 6:17–18 (AMPC):
Take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray at all times, on every occasion, in every season, in the Spirit.
God’s purpose is to bring us into higher spiritual understanding—His wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:30).
Jesus, the Wisdom of God, defeated satan and all his cohorts. He paraded them openly as defeated foes, proclaiming Himself the eternal Victor over every plan and purpose of the enemy!
✨ In Christ, you carry the wisdom of God. In prayer, you release it. And in faith, you enforce His victory!
